Check Out The Roosh Forum

by Frost on November 26, 2011

Forums are my least favourite source of information on the internet. Too much noise, too many idiots, too little useful information, and what little good stuff there is must be picked from the swamp of mediocrity in which it floats.

All that said, the Roosh Forum suffers from these problems far less than any other I’ve seen recently, and there are a good number of truly solid posters in the Travel and Lifestyle sub-sections. (I’m sure the Game forum is good too, at least compared to it’s alternatives, but I haven’t given it much more than a cursory glance.) It really is the first forum I’ve found worth reading since the untimely death of the Tucker Max Message Board.

So check it out, and pro tip: Sort each sub-forum my the most-viewed posts to start off with the cream of the crop.

Freedom Twenty-Five readers, any other forums you think are worth a look that I may not have heard of? Any Rooshites among you already? Anyone else remember the glory days of the TMMB before it was axed?

Roosh needs more help. He needs to mod certain respected users. It is quickly becoming clannish and spammy with all the new coming trolls. Roosh has good rules but he needs a mini roosh.

I actually quite enjoy forums. I’m planning to set one up shortly.
Also I really do agree that a good moderator is a great way to achieve a great forum.

The forum is a success because I run it with the iron fist of STALIN.

Just kidding… but banning trolls and encouraging free sharing of knowledge is helping a lot.

Since you do have that Foseti/UR/Chariot of Reaction/etc. side too, My Posting Career (http://mypostingcareer.com/) might be of interest. The insularity in there understandably turns some people off but if you wade past the inside jargon and relics of old internet feuds, the combination of irreverence and high-quality reactionary insight can’t be beat.

there is tons of useful info in the travel section of roosh’s forum. interesting not just from a “i want to get laid in a foreign country” perspective, but also from a sociological and anthropological perspective.

his game section, though, seemed kinda bitter and angry.

I agree with you…I’m not big on forums, but Roosh’s is the best I’ve visited. I give most of the credit to Roosh, but it also has to do with the thought diversity of the people who visit it. Just enough structure but not too much.

Yeah, I assume it’s because Roosh writes a lot about travel + game he attracts more genuine cool cats, rather just just 100% game-obsessed guys.

Since the new administration ran mASF to the ground, some of the posters have moved over to fasterseduction.com.

The secret of a good forum is having a good moderator. Roosh does a great job.
